p>Steinbrüchel was born 1969 in Bad Homburg, Germany and raised in Zürich, Switzerland, where he now lives and works
as a musician and graphic designer.
In 2002 his composition “zwischen.raum", released on the Zürich domizil label, was distinguished with the Max Brand award for electronic music at the Phonotaktik.02 festival in
New York. The same year he received a composition grant
from Pro Helvetia, the Arts Council of Switzerland, for his
recording “circa," released on line.
At present he is working on a variety of collaborative projects
with Yves Netzhammer, Frank Bretschneider and Günter Müller.
