In "Ausland Sounding" the otherwise inaudible sounds of the performance space "Ausland" were recorded live with eight contact microphones and mixed back into the room over eight speakers. The installation lasted ten hours and a simulataneous two-channel stereo mix was broadcast over radio and streamed in internet.

"Ausland Sounding" sensitized the installation visitor to an audio topography normally hovering just beyond the edge of conscious recognition.
